atmos and Nike‘s Air Max 1 “Elephant” from 2007 is widely considered one of the best Air Max collaborations of all time, and now Nike SB is saluting the seminal silhouette with a special SB Dunk Low “Elephant.” Boasting familiar materials, crisp colorblocking and a painstaking attention to detail, the “Elephant” is an apt homage to a legendary design and a more than worthy inclusion to the SB Dunk‘s potent 2020 release slate.
Signature elephant print swathes the mudguard and collar overlays while also appearing on the heel piece. Its instantly recognizable pattern is quickly accented by teal Swooshes and teal heel/tongue embellishments, key design details that nod to the water elephants spew from their trunks. Quarters are made of black nubuck to match the puffy black foam tongue, and crisp white leather toeboxes add light contrast. White midsoles loaded with heel Zoom Air units and durable black outsoles finalize the look.
The Nike SB Dunk Low “Elephant” releases in limited quantities at various Nike Orange Label retailers on November 11, and is priced at $110 USD. The Berrics’ Canteen will run a raffle from 8:00 PM ET to 8:05 PM ET November 10.
