The Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Be True” Brings Rainbow Swooshes To The Bright Blue Upper - Sneaker News

brande.indah.link

Now that we’re in the month of June, Nike will soon be rolling out its ninth annual “Be True” collection to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. The Nike Air Max Pre-Day is joining the pack this year for the first time, featuring a handful of fun, discoverable details that honor Pride Month.

The relatively new Max Air model, which debuted in March 2021 on Air Max Day, ditches its usual muted and greyscale uppers for bright blue mesh. These bold uppers are complemented by recycled, synthetic suede overlays in a matching shade. As if the model wasn’t already vibrant enough, the side Swooshes opt for rainbow gradients with high-shine finishes. Rainbows are also exhibited by the tongue label in the form of Nike’s signature BETRUE Swoosh logo. The back of this label and the alternately colored insoles are also stamped with BETRUE branding to fit the collection. To distinguish itself from previous Pride collection releases, the celebratory model is complete with a velcro heel tab for wearers to apply patches of different unity flags—an inclusive take on personal expression.

Take a closer look at the Nike Air Max Pre-Day below, which will arrive at Nike.com later this month with a price tag of $130.

In other Swoosh-related news, an upcoming Nike Air Max 97 will be honoring Puerto Rico.
