Renderings of what Samsung‘s next Galaxy Watch Active 4 may look like have now surfaced.
The images were first uploaded by Twitter user OnLeaks and GizNext, with the two claiming that the renderings are exact representations of what the South Korean tech giant’s next fitness-minded wearable would look like. Compared to its predecessor — the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 (there wasn’t a model 3) — the design itself hasn’t changed much, carrying the same rounded display surrounded by a very thin bezel with short lugs extending out, although there will be more color options added, including black, a dark olive green, silver, and rose gold.
Given the similar looks, the new model will predominantly differentiate itself from the Active 2 through a new software upgrade coming in the form of Samsung’s reworked Wear OS. While exact details remain scarce at this point, the tech company has promised a brand new interface, improvements in functionality, as well as more health-centric features. All this will be supported by a new five-nanometer processor, though Engadget points out that there’s no indication at this time if it would actually improve performance or battery life.
Of course, Samsung has yet to officially reveal the Galaxy Watch Active 4 but is expected to do so during its Mobile World Congress event on June 28, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates to come.
