Kek, 1 hour agoLG made a mistake and should come back, at least in key markets where they were selling. As... moreYou're right. LG should try a comeback with good marketing and fair pricing.
The best musicphone of the world is a LG phone which looks like just another clamshell, with nothing music even mentioned on the box, except QuadDAC in the smallest font possible.
Is this marketing??

I wouldn't say South Korean laws would favour Samsung, because that would be unfair to hell. Its LG's store, its their choice.

But think about it:- If a lot of customers want a Samsung phone, won't they check out LG's smart TV and fridge and other gadgets in the same showroom?
Wouldn't LG reap the benefit, as they have nothing in phones anyways?

What about a typical Apple customer spending $1200 on a phone, and then checking out LG's smart TV for just $450?

Let's be positive. I think LG may benefit from this in general...

FrickAndroid, 1 hour agoThe best would be to sell xperia phones .Nobody gets hurt.😁yeah just imagine, they could sell like 5 phones at least, which would boost their global sales by 20%.

I don't see how that makes a difference considering how insignificant LG's mobile vendor market share is and anybody looking for iPhones will buy it anywhere even without LG's help. Samsung has more than twice the market share of Apple in South Korea, why would they be scared?

If i were LG i wouldnt allow sell apple or samsung or any other brand apart the LG in their stores. Promoting competition is just plain no

it only sounds fair. they should sell Samsung as well.

I don't think this is a smart move by LG. They should know better that the Apple ecosystem is almost impossible to leave. By selling only iPhones and apple watches, they are inviting more people to join their ecosystem. Eventually they'll be creating competition for their own products eg computers

As for this, they will probably bend for Samsung, since its a national brand. I'm pretty sure there are South Korean laws that will favor Samsung on this regard

Apple would solely get boost due to availability of stores so Samsung also want to be a part of it even if it means less profit for their own stores.

This is possibly the most confusing decision I've seen from LG. They pull out of the SmartPhone game, and then decide to push the iPhone in their stores. That itself is confusing on its own, and Samsung wanting in on the deal is even weirder.
