Official Images Of The Nike LeBron 18 “GOAT” - Sneaker News

It’s official: LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers squad have been eliminated from the first round of the 2020-21 NBA Playoffs by the Phoenix Suns. Despite being the first time “the kid from Akron” gets sent home before a second series, countless fans still consider James as the “Greatest of All Time” (G.O.A.T.) to ever grace an NBA hardwood. And while he’s drawn criticism for agreeing, the next Nike LeBron 18 finds him leaning into the distinction.

Likely originally planned for a release at a later point in the playoffs (ideally after another Finals appearance), the newly-surfaced pair maintains a rather understated color palette, with “Black/Pale Ivory” adorning much of the shoe from mid-foot to forefoot. The “power”-oriented tooling at the heel, however, nod to the G.O.A.T. accolade, featuring Spanish words “la cabra,” “campeona” and “mejor ganadar” (“the goat,” “champion” and “best winner.”) Ostensibly, the story of the “Three Billy Boats Gruff” served as inspiration for the design direction given that a “3” (and “Tres”) randomly appears across the heel, while a new billy goat and basketball logo is stamped on the sock-liner. Perhaps this is the Swoosh and LBJ scribing their story for the history books.

Enjoy official images of the latest LeBron 18 here below, and expect a Nike.com launch in the near future.
