Since first joining forces in 2017, Virgil Abloh and Nike have entirely reshaped the rules of collaboration and now they’re embarking on their biggest project yet: a 50-pack of takes on the Dunk Low, aptly dubbed “The 50.” Though teaser images of select pairs from the outsized collection have been circulating on the sneaker interwebs for months, we’ve never gotten a look at the entire collection in one place — until now at least, thanks to Nike SNKRS spotlighting “The 50” in its latest “SNKRS Special” slideshow.

48 of the 50 styles included follow a regimented routine, namely embellishing a white and gray upper with key Abloh design motifs like overhanging lacing systems, exposed foam tongues, Helvetica text hits, plastic zipties and fabric tabs. A key new addition, however, is a marbled piece of rubber on each shoe’s lateral midsole that denotes its place in “The 50.” There’s also colorful, Swoosh-equipped insoles in each pair.

The two styles from “The 50” that don’t follow the script set by their 48 counterparts are pair 01/50 and pair 50/50. The first of these features an all white upper with a metallic silver Swoosh and yellowed midsole reminiscent of the Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “AF100” from 2017, while the second mixes black and metallic silver for a nod to the Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “MoMA” from 2018 and adds in some rich purple accents.

A release date for the Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low “The 50” collection has yet to be announced, but Nike has indicated that more info will be made available soon.

Elsewhere in the world of the Swoosh, take a look at the fall-ready Dunk Low “Cinder/Dark Chocolate/Wild Berry/Off Noir.”
