The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Pairs An Icy-Translucent Midsole With Regrind Outsoles - Sneaker News

As NIKE, Inc. continues its “Move to Zero” campaign, the North American conglomerate continues to outfit some of its most classic silhouettes in sustainable materials. Case in point: a newly-surfaced Nike Blazer Mid ’77 featuring Nike Regrind tooling.

Popularized by the Space Hippie collection, the trash-turned-sneaker material maintains its inaugural dark grey composition on the forthcoming pair. Shades of off-white cover most of the mixed-materials upper, with suede across the mid-foot boasting the darkest hue. Profile swooshes deviate from their surroundings in both hue and material, as they deliver “Armory Navy” tumbled leather to the once-basketball-court-staple. Orange joins the mix on the exposed foam tongue and suede “NIKE”-branded heel, while a Nike Sportswear swoosh wheel takes over the lateral heel. Directly underfoot, a “Glacier Ice” midsole injects modern flair to the 1970s Nike Blazer, just as the outsole does.

A Nike.com release date hasn’t been disclosed, but this Blazer Mid ’77 is likely to launch as part of a larger collection before autumn arrives. In any case, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh banner, the Air Max 96 II continues to emerge in non-original styles.
