With vintage arguably at its peak, Nike’s inline colorways have gradually started to reflect eras long gone. Such is the case for the upcoming Air Max 90 “Driftwood,” which some draw comparisons to the past’s “Escape” ancestry.
To better mimic older pairs, the midsole hues a light cream. Above, the mesh base, lining, and lace unit seem to follow suit, forgoing the use of true whites near entirely. Elsewhere, the Swoosh hues its synthetic textile a dark black like that of the heel tab whose branding complements the caramel-colored quarter panel and PU mold underfoot. Adjacent, a far darker shade of brown rounds off the scheme along both the eye stays as well as the mudguard.
