The Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 “Horus” Releases On May 7th - Sneaker News

Concepts and Kyrie Irving aren’t strangers to each other, developing a relationship out of a mutual affinity for skateboard culture. In addition to bringing its famous “Lobster” theme to Irving’s signature sneaker like, the Boston-founded boutique has also assisted the current Brooklyn Net in bringing his interest in Egyptian archeology, ritual and symbol to footwear form. For the latest endeavor, Concepts, Irving and his sister Asia have created the Nike Kyrie 7 “Horus”.

Set to release on Friday, May 7th, alongside the Made in the USA “Feather of Maat” collection, the forthcoming pair indulges in vibrant shades of teal and orange. “CONCEPTS” branding appears on the heel and sock-liner, while the shop’s double-“C” logo appears on the right shoe’s tongue and insole. Elsewhere, Irving’s logo also takes center stage on the left tongue in shimmering gold, but it’s accompanied by nods to ancient Egypt via symbols like the Eye of Horus (not to be confused with the Eye of Ra that appeared on the Kyrie 5). Performance-ready tread forgoes any inspiration derived from glazed ceramics of ancient Egypt, but makes a statement of its own with its eye-catching citrus makeup.

The Kyrie 7 “Horus” releases via CNCPTS.com on Friday, May 7th. In the meantime, enjoy imagery of the shoes here below.

Elsewhere under the Nike Basketball banner, the LeBron 8 “South Beach” is set to return before May ends.
