Nike is gearing up its plans for employees to return to the office.
As vaccinations for COVID-19 continue to ramp up across the country, the sneaker giant is beginning to plan its procedures for a post-pandemic workflow.
The company anticipates employees being able to return to its Beaverton-based campus in September, Nike confirmed to The Oregonian. Nike expects other office-based employees to return to the workplace under a new, flexible model “balancing individual needs with the needs of the business,” with timelines and details varying by country and location.
“Nike’s business and culture thrive when we collaborate, create and learn together,” the company said in a statement.
“This flexible model is new to us, and we will continue to seek input from teammates and make adjustments – as needed – over time,” Nike said.
Yahoo reported that the expectation is Nike employees will come into the office three days a week contingent on local and public health guidelines in charge of occupancy limits, social distancing, mask wearing and sanitation. The remaining two days allow employees to work remotely, providing them a flexible routine, Yahoo said.
