Shares of Chevron and Nike are trading lower Wednesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Chevron CVX, -2.81% and Nike NKE, -1.92% are contributing to the index's intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.48% was most recently trading 307 points, or 0.9%, lower. Chevron's shares have declined $3.66 (3.4%) while those of Nike have declined $3.17, or 2.3%, combining for an approximately 45-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Goldman Sachs GS, -1.70%, Dow Inc. DOW, -1.41%, and Caterpillar CAT, -1.09%. A $1 move in any of the index's 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
