The Retro-Themed Nike Air Force 1 “First Use” Appears In Lush Shades Of Blue - Sneaker News

Nike Sportswear’s ode to the swoosh logo hasn’t been announced, but the “First Use” collection has recently added a Nike Air Force 1 to its growing roster.

Akin to a recently-surfaced Air Max 90, the forthcoming take on Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design indulges in a “University Blue/White/Deep Royal Blue” color palette. Unlike most iterations of the once-basketball-court-classic, the latest style indulges in a smooth leather base overlaid with suede swathes. Profile logos alternate between a vintage and modern aesthetic, with the former appearing on the lateral side just above the date on which the swoosh debuted: June 18, 1971. Elsewhere, “nike” branding on the the heel, tongue and sock-liner further nod to the company’s old-school marketing efforts. Golden lace accessories and an all-“White” sole unit round out the commemorative offering.

An official Nike.com release date hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s possible this Air Force 1 Low launches in mid-June. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.

For more from the Swoosh, the LeBron 8 “South Beach” is anticipated to retro before May ends.
