Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event is April 28. Are new laptops on the way? - Windows Central

Samsung typically holds its Galaxy Unpacked events in late winter around Mobile World Congress and late fall (preceding the holiday season). But this time, the company is doing the rare late spring event on Wednesday, April 28th, and broadcast live on Samsung.com.

All of this raises an eyebrow as Samsung's last event was in January for its flagship Galaxy S21 series, and before that September 2020 for the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 2 making the rumored Galaxy S22 very premature.

That said, reports around Samsung laptops have been making the rounds more than usual, suggesting this event could focus on non-phone hardware, akin to April 2019 Unpacked, which announced new tablets.

Recent leaks point to Samsung working on Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360 laptops. Some of those are Intel-based systems, but a leak back in February also indicated there is a Galaxy Book Go, which is Qualcomm-based and could be happening too.

Another fascinating rumor claimed Samsung was prepping the first-ever combo of its ARM-based Exynos processor with an AMD GPU. Such a device would certainly give a big push to non-x86 computing if true.

Samsung has been expanding its Windows laptop range recently with impressive devices like the ultra-thin Galaxy Book S, Galaxy Book2, and the very unique Galaxy Book Flex.

Will any of these rumors come to light in April? Your guess is as good as ours, but we will be tuning in to find out (let's hope it's not just Android tablets). You can watch Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event here on April 28th.
