Nike’s Sundown Logo Reappears On A New GS Air Force 1 Colorway - Sneaker News

Although the Nike Air Force 1 has been popularized for its classic, triple white look, bright colors continue to land on a handful of offerings much to people’s excitement. For an upcoming GS-exclusive colorway, the pair seeks sunset-inspired colors and motifs to create a playful look ideal for the approaching summer season.

The sundown theme has already been channeled by a recently-released kids’ Air Max 90. Similar to the AM 90, this style opts for a smooth white leather base. The side Swooshes are tinted in Dark Purple Dust, but have a metallic finish that delivers a near color-shifting effect. Purple makes its way onto the heel tab as well, but via a lighter, pastel approach—a shade titled “Light Thistle.” Reminiscent of the brilliant golden hues that illuminate the sky, the cursive logo embroidered on the heel tab uses crimson threading, with the bold color fully covering the insole. Meanwhile, the neon Copa is applied to the Air logo on the midsole and the embroidered mini Swoosh close to the toe as additional touches of brightness. A circular logo on the tongue label representing the sunset replaces the standard Nike Air symbol as the final, scenery-informed detail of the design.

Take a closer look at the Air Force 1 below as you await its arrival at Nike.com with a price tag of $80.
