Nike has just unveiled a brand-new iteration of its Air Max Pre-Day. The shoe is one of the footwear label’s efforts to move towards a more sustainable design. This time around, the silhouette has been given a sleek black and gray makeover.
This model lessens the negative impact that the footwear industry has on the environment with the use of 20 percent recycled material in its construction. It features a low profile that tapers towards the forefoot, and its slimming colorway accentuates this mold. A subtle “Nike” logo is placed at the top of the shoe, followed by a set of eyelets made from repurposed materials. On the sidewalls is a tonal Swoosh, while gray geometric panels appear on the forefoot and heel. All of these details rest over a white midsole, finished off by a translucent Air sole unit for added comfort and support.
Nike’s Air Max Pre-Day “Black” will be available on May 1, 7 p.m. EST on Nike Japan’s website for ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $142 USD)
In case you missed it, here’s a look at an all-white iteration of the Nike Air Max Pre-Day.
