First Look At The Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” Retro - Sneaker News

Fresh off the heels of the first look at the LeBron  8 “Miami Nights”, we’re treated with a first look at the re-issue of the most infamous Nike Basketball sneaker release of the 21st century, if not the most infamous LeBron shoe ever made. That would be the LeBron 8 “South Beach”, a shoe that marked the heel turn of LeBron from city savior to overnight villain due to his highly polarizing decision to leave Cleveland for Miami. LeBron’s off-season decision in the summer of 2010 temporarily derailed some of Nike’s footwear release plans, but they grabbed the controversy by the horns and released a colorway as audacious as “The Decision”, proving that they were sticking by their star athlete despite the public criticism.

Dropping just before the start of the 2010-2011 NBA season, the LeBron 8 “South Beach” boasted a Retro green teal leather upper matched with a vibrant pink and a sharp black. Unquestionably one of the most iconic Nike Basketball shoes in history and certainly among the most coveted of 2010, the LeBron 8 “South Beach” marked a significant moment in the timeline of LeBron’s career. A certified must for any LeBron fan, the South Beach 8s are officially returning in 2021, with a release potentially happening as soon as May 2021.
