For completely understandable reasons, most of us have collectively blocked out the fact that our phones are germ hotels. As in, dirtier than your toilet seat filthy. In this day and age, you probably reach for the hand sanitizer immediately after touching any surface outside of your home, and yet most of us set our phones on a coffee shop table or prop it up on a grocery cart without a thought. Disgusting!

It’s not really advisable to use hand sanitizer on your phone, and wiping it down constantly with Clorox wipes (if you can even find them) could get expensive, but there does exist another option -- one that hospitals have been using to sanitize rooms and equipment for years -- UV light.

Samsung’s sanitizing cradle uses the germ-killing power of UV light to kill 99% of germs and bacteria on your phone, keys, loose change, jewelry, or anything else that will fit inside in just 10 minutes. And because this is Samsung we’re talking about, they also included a built-in Qi charging pad inside, so you can juice up your device while it’s getting decontaminated.

Today’s $25 price tag for the sanitizer isn’t just the best price Amazon’s ever listed on the gadget; it’s also one of the best prices we’ve ever seen on any similar device, and less than a third of what you’d typically pay for its most popular competitor, the PhoneSoap 3.
