Although the professional running circuit has undergone changes since the dawn of Covid-19, players the likes of NIKE, Inc. haven’t halted their performance-running innovation. On the contrary, several brands have unveiled their latest and greatest sneakers over the last year, to enthusiasm from many as doing so has given athletes all over the world something to look forward to. For its latest proposition, the Swoosh has outfitted the Nike ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2 in a simple, but versatile “White/Black” colorway.

While more of a slight evolution than complete revolution from its direct predecessor, the new silhouette offers improved function. A lightweight, engineered mesh delivers updated breathability without sacrificing durability. Construction around the forefoot follows suit, as it features a noticeably-reinforced makeup that keeps the exaggerated branding from previous runners intact. Padding on the tongue addresses lace pressure complaints from the first VaporFly NEXT%, further delivering comfort to the new model. Elsewhere, ZoomX foam underfoot is accompanied by the controversial full-length carbon plate that’s enabled unprecedented propulsion and energy-return. Lastly, the well-thought-out traction and 8mm offset deliver a ride that’ll be familiar to some, and refreshing to most.

Enjoy official images of the latest VaporFly NEXT% 2 here below, and expect pairs to hit Nike.com soon.
