Rosalía Teases Espadrilles Nike Air Force 1 - Teen Vogue

It looks like Rosalía has a new collab with Nike coming our way soon. On March 4, the Spanish singer took to Instagram to post a video of her modeling what appears to be a collaboration with the sports giant – a new version of the beloved Nike Air Force One: the AF1 Espadrilles.

From what we can see in Rosalía’s Instagram video, the shoes are composed of a canvas upper body that is embroider-stitched to the sole of the shoe. They are laced with ribbons that tie around the ankle and lower calf. The inner sole of the shoe has the words, “We just did it, Rosalía,” printed right on the inside.

Traditional espadrilles have cultural roots in Spain, specifically Catalonia, where Rosalía is from, so this Nike collab is undeniably a cool nod to the singer's roots. The singer’s Instagram post featured a carousel of images of the traditional footwear, including some of the fellow Catalonian painter Salvador Dalí wearing the shoes, that confirm the intention is indeed a celebration of culture.

There's no doubt these Nike espadrilles are the perfect summer shoe. As far as price, release date, and other details to cop, those are yet to come, but we are waiting patiently and keeping an eye on Nike.com just in case!
