Being that the Air Force 1 Low is such a clean-cut canvas, it leaves room for the Nike design team to run totally wild with their imagination and fashion the silhouette in a boundless amount of motifs. Recently, the Sportswear offering was brewed up in a coffee-inspired rendition, and now it’s bringing more of that foodie influence to its next act that takes after everyone’s favorite cinema treat: popcorn.

A premium tumbled leather is molded to arrange the base section, and this is sheathed in a buttery “Coconut Milk” hue entirely. Layered on top are angelic Swooshes and heel overlays. Nike branding that is sprawled on the tongues and heels substitute the customary Nike Air embellishments for theme park popcorn box-esque fonts. Canvas tongues, shoe laces, and sock liners all follow suit with bright white skins as well. Additionally, a metallic gold charm molded to the shape of popcorn dangles from the left shoe, and the lateral rear paneling features the phrase “fresh since ‘82” as a nod to the birth year of the Air Force 1.

Working our way downwards, the midsole piece is left to a clean aesthetic, and comes mated with raised “Air” lettering and outsoles colored in with more “Coconut Milk” exteriors. Further details of the kicks to point out include the literal popcorn graphics that print in an all-over manner across the footbeds as well as the pinstriped snack box-influenced wrapping paper that is found inside its packaging.

These mouth-watering AF1s are available now in select retailers in Asia, but a stateside Nike drop is likely to happen in the coming weeks.

In case you missed it, Ken Griffey Jr.’s Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Varsity Royal” is returning.
