For sneaker aficionados who were around during the NikeiD days — the Swoosh’s personalization platform before Nike By You — this will be very familiar to you as you have the option to dress up the basketball-turned-lifestyle model with both smooth and pebbled leather uppers, in addition to choosing between a wide array of different colors. There is a catch here though however, and that’s the inability to re-create any two-toned “Be True To Your School”-inspired colorways such as say the “Kentucky” or the “Syracuse”. This makes sense considering that other silhouettes that have previously dropped under the Nike By You umbrella have forbade customers from designing popular colorways.
Despite this, note that the room for imagination is still ample. Here we’ve recreated a few options makeups that speak to cherished iterations such as the unreleased 7-11 Dunks, the eBay Dunks, “Chicago” Dunks and more. The Dunk By You will be available soon for $120 USD.
