This Star-Studded Nike Dunk Low Disrupt Sees Gold Chains On Its Laces - Sneaker News

As the predictive nature of astrology continues to be deliberated, it is without a doubt that the practice has become popular among millennials and younger audiences, to the point of commercialization. Hopping on the trend and referencing its own Greek mythological roots, Nike introduces a Dunk Low Disrupt that embraces these themes with gold accents and constellation-inspired graphics.

The women’s-exclusive model sees an all-white base, with uppers constructed of premium leather and overlays reminiscent of its predecessor, the Dunk Low. A gold tumbled leather Swoosh peeks from beneath these overlays, possibly inspired the Greek goddess of victory, from whom Nike has gotten its name. Stars stitched with gold, glittery thread are applied to the heel tab to spell out the brand name and the tongue label. The pair continues the astrological theme on the black insoles, which are covered in constellations. As a finishing touch, the laces see a gold dubrae piece that features Nike’s logo written with its vintage cursive serif font and chain links appropriate for celebrating the aforementioned goddess’s representation of the divine feminine.

The Dunk Low Disrupt is available for purchase on Nike.com for $110.

For more interstellar propositions, this Air Max 90 Golf is covered in playful doodles of aliens.
