NIKE, Inc. has revealed some of its most innovative technology and designs throughout 2020, but it’s also unearthed dozens of previously-unretroed fan-favorites from its archives. Although the Nike Lahar Escape from 1998 has yet to see a proper reissue, the rugged model has served as the base for a women’s new low-top boot.
Unlike the boot’s colorways that appeared on two pairs of the Air Max 90, the forthcoming proposition indulges in a tonal “Black” arrangement. Constructed from heavy-duty leather, the upper boasts a miniature swoosh on the lateral profile, thick laces, metal eyelets and a pull tab at the heel. Sole units further don a monochromatic color scheme, but they up the rugged ante via their chunky makeup and aggressive tread. Underfoot, “Flash Crimson” branding adds some flair dead in the center of the recently-surfaced pair.
Enjoy official images of the women’s Lahar Low ahead, and find the shoes arriving to Nike SNKRS on January 2nd, 2021 for $130 USD.
