When is the Black Friday sale?
While Black Friday specifically refers to the day following Thanksgiving, the Black Friday sales event typically begins sooner—usually on Thanksgiving Day—and has for many years. This year, though, most major retailers re-engineered their Black Friday sales in response to the global pandemic, social distancing, a renewed emphasis on family, and changing consumer buying patterns.
One outcome of that change was the fact that no major retailers are opening retail locations on Thanksgiving Day—a break with tradition. In addition, most of those same stores have opted to begin special Black Friday pricing much sooner and continue sales, in one form or another, through the month of November.
As a result, Black Friday sales have already begun for many brands and retailers, and the sales will continue in various forms through the end of the month. You can expect all brands and stores to offer their most exciting deals online on Thanksgiving Day, November 26 and continue through the weekend.
Will Samsung have its own Black Friday sale?
Yes, and it has already begun. Samsung has unveiled its own Black Friday sale page entitled “Black Friday mode is on.” There you can browse all the retailer’s deals and make online purchases directly from the Samsung webpage. This is in addition to sales on Samsung products at every major retailer, such as Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart.
Where will I find the best Black Friday deals on Samsung products?
While it seems logical that you’d find the best prices on Samsung products at Samsung, especially since the brand is hosting its own sale, the reality is that you should comparison shop because no one website is guaranteed to have the best prices.
Moreover, some sites will jockey for position. Retailers—especially Amazon—will often try to match other store prices, but as different Black Friday sale events come and go, some retailers will inevitably offer the best price at any given moment.
Because Samsung products are available at so many online stores, you might want to install some tools to help you find the best price on a specific Samsung product during this turbulent retail time of year. Browser plug-ins like Popcart, Honey and PriceBlink can help you quickly compare prices among multiple sites and see which one has the current best pricing.
