Nike Air Max 1 N7 Honors Standing Rock Sioux Tribe With Native Inspired Patterns - Sneaker News

Following an extensive capsule in June, Nike N7, which works with organizations actively working towards the betterment of Native American youth, has prepped a Nike Air Max 1 commemorating the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

The pair, clad in earth-friendly “Taupe Haze” and “Light Orewood Brown” tones, features multi-colored chevron and diamond-shaped patterns across its profile swooshes and forefoot and heel overlays, which pay tribute to the fits given during the group’s traditional naming ceremonies. Hits of orange animate upper eye-stays, as well as the “N7” branding found on the tongue label; “NIKE AIR” branding on the heel and tread at the tip also indulge in the citrus hue. Satin-like construction takes over the ankle panels and collar, a design choice that adds a further luxurious touch to the meaningful proposition.

An official release date is still unknown, but this Air Max is likely to launch on Nike SNKRS before November ends. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and learn more about the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in the Dakotas here.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” is rumored to retro during 2021’s holiday season.
