This year adidas is revisiting its legendary “A-ZX” series with the release of 26 special ZX sneakers, and marking the spot for “G” is the new adidas ZX 8000 Golf “Aqua.”
Following on from other special-edition pairs in the “A-ZX” series, such as those from IRAK and Concepts, adidas has updated the ZX 8000 in its OG colorway of “Clear Aqua/Shock Yellow/Light Aqua” by giving it golfing capabilities.
For example, the suede and engineered mesh upper is now water-repellant, while its Torsion-equipped sole unit has been combined with BOOST in the midsole and a spikeless adiwear rubber outsole, making for a shoe that’s as good in the streets as it is on the putting green.
There’s also a number of “A-ZX” series-specific details added to this pair. On the heel and insole, adidas has branded the sneaker with a commemorative 30th-anniversary wreath, while the lace lock now states “ZX GOLF” in purple text on a yellow background.
adidas is releasing the ZX 8000 Golf “Aqua” on September 4 at 11 a.m. EST for $130 USD a pair. Take a closer look at the sneaker above, and pick up a pair on the 4th from adidas’ website.
In other news, adidas has dropped the NIZZA RF Hi in two semi-translucent renditions.
