It’s not exactly a secret, but if you don’t know: the reason online stores want you to join their loyalty program, their rewards system, or (in the case of Adidas) their “Creator’s Club” is because they want to collect data on their customers and market to them more specifically. The more they know about you, the more easily they can sell to you.
Which is creepy, but if you’re a savvy consumer, you can exploit their special offers to score some great savings.
