With the summer golf season in full swing, Nike Golf has teed up its Air Max 1 G in a sweet watermelon-inspired style. Officially dubbed “White/Aurora Green/Hot Punch,” the light-hearted colorway takes the timeless build of Nike Sportswear‘s Air Max 1 and repurposes it for the links.
Uppers are constructed of a breezy, breathable white mesh that cuts weight with synthetic taped white overlays and mudguards. Medium-sized midfoot Swooshes are done up in “Hot Punch” and feature black speckles that could be taken as seeds on a good day or ants on a bad day. More “Hot Punch” appears via the Nike graphics on the heel and tongue.
Cool contrast for these warm embellishments is provided by “Aurora Green” collar trim. Midsoles take on a standard white EVA foam and clear heel Air Max unit. Finally, toothed outsoles made for grip on grass and sand alike bring “Hot Punch” and “Aurora Green” together in a abstract camo pattern to complete the look.
The Nike Air Max 1 G “White/Aurora Green/Hot Punch” is available now via the Nike webstore, and retails for $130 USD.
