adidas Running is combining two of its icons on the new UltraBOOST DNA Prime. A hybrid style that features an adizero Prime — the first shoe to feature a Primeknit construction — upper atop a classic UltraBOOST midsole, the DNA Prime is in fact a nod to Olympic heritage as the OG adizero Prime debuted at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Arriving in “Active Red” and “Core Black,” each shoe features a fully knit upper that’s accented by a “Cloud White” Three Stripe midfoot graphic and further flecked detailing. Although it’s indeed adizero Prime inspired, this flexible build also calls to mind images of past Palace x adidas collaborations like the potent Pro Primeknit.
White TPU heel clips provide structure and stability, while “2020” graces each tongue, an updated take on the original adizero Prime’s “2012” embellishment and an unintentionally forlorn nod to the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games. Down below, white BOOST midsoles serve up signature UltraBOOST comfort, with red Torsion bars and black Continental rubber outsoles finalizing the look.
The adidas UltraBOOST DNA Prime “Active Red” and “Core Black” are both available now at the adidas UK webstore. Each is priced at £140 GBP (approximately $177 USD).
