Distilling the race-ready ethos of Nike Running‘s Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% into a lifestyle package, Nike N. 354‘s Air Zoom Type is a conceptual casual silhouette — one that’s now been introduced in “College Grey.” Using a traditional color scheme to bring an alternate twist of flair to its unique shape, the “College Grey” is at once classic and cutting edge.

Stripped-back uppers are built from a grey suede-like material, and add a duo of Swooshes: dotted on the lateral side, small and hand-scrawled on the medial side. Further embellishment arrives via perforated toeboxes, a tongue badge that states “this shoe is based on a Zoom Air prototype built at Nike WHQ” (an abbreviation of World Headquarters), branded heel tabs and small brown leather heel patches.

On the lower half, double-stacked speckled grey midsoles are left intentionally askew, with the bottom half jutting out below the top to drive home the layered look. These two pieces are seperated by a plastic plate meant to represent the carbon fiber present in the aforementioned Alphafly and other silhouettes like the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%. The main dash of vibrance — and signature detail — is handled by a duo of “Hyper Jade” pucks in the forefoot, and black outsoles complete the look.

The Nike N. 354 Air Zoom Type is set to release via Nike SNKRS Japan come July 1, and will likely touch down in the US during the following weeks. The MSRP is set at $150 USD.

Your Latest Look At Samsung’s Massive Note 20 Ultra - Forbes

As the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 approaches, we’re getting a better look at the design of the flagship phablet. 

The latest concept renders of the Note 20 Ultra come from the combined talents of Concept Creator and Let’s Go Digital. Of course this close to launch, multiple leaks of the design (including new information on the physical cases arriving today), the concept images are getting as close to the actual device as possible before launch. Ilse Jurrien has the new details:

"At the front, Samsung seems to make minimal changes, so the design will have even tighter, straighter lines. The punch-hole selfie camera will also be placed centrally in the center of the new model - as we already know from the Note 10…

"[There are] three relatively large camera lenses - presumably a wide angle, ultra wide angle and a zoom camera. In addition, a special 3D sensor will be built in, this DepthVision camera ensures that you can create beautiful bokeh effects, even when recording videos.”

THere’s not a huge amount of choices that a design team could make over the camera island. Packing in five lenses and flash, needs either a circular arrangement (much like Nokia 9 PureView) or a 3x2 grid. Samsung has decided on the latter. Other manufacturers have made similar decisions, as a result what could be a standout element now looks homogenous with similar flagship smartphones.

The design is notably more angular than previous Note models. That makes it easier to pack the circuitry, antenna, and battery into the Note 20. Don’t forget that the Note 20’s key differentiation also needs to fit inside the casing, namely the S-Pen. 

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 20 series, including the Note 20 Ultra, early in August. Unlike previous years where the Autumn event showcases the premium handsets for the rest of the year, the South Korean based company is expected to stagger the reveals and the releases of the Note 20, Fold 2, and Z Flip 2 over the next three months.

The Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 are the first A-series phones from Samsung to arrive with 5G capabilities. The A51 5G is currently the most affordable 5G phone from the South Korean brand. More members in the A-series are expected to arrive with 5G support in the future. A fresh report on Sammobile claims that the Galaxy A42 5G arriving in 2021 could be the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung.

The Galaxy A42 5G is said to have a model number of SM-A426B. The handset is likely to arrive in the 4G version as well. To be precise, the SM-A426B model number belongs to the global edition of the Galaxy A42 5G.

The Galaxy A42 5G may arrive with an internal storage of 128 GB. The Galaxy A41 that went official earlier this year came with 64 GB of native storage. The smartphone could be available in color edition like gray, black, and white. The other details of the phone are under wraps.

In related news, Samsung is gearing up to launch multiple products in the coming months. The company may announce Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch and Galaxy Buds Live in July. Some rumors claim that these devices may go official on July 22. The next month could also see the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S7 series of flagship tablets.

On Aug. 5, Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy Fold 2 foldable phone, Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5G. As of this writing, Samsung is yet to release an official confirmation on the arrival of these products.

Adidas, Ford, Clorox—And All The Other Major Companies Boycotting Facebook - Forbes

An advertising boycott of Facebook called for by top civil rights groups continues to gather momentum with over 150 marketers—most recently joined by Best Buy, Ford, Adidas, Starbucks and Unilever—announcing they will not work with the tech giant until “meaningful action” is taken to address misinformation and hate speech.

Civil rights groups, including the NAACP and the Anti-Defamation League, launched the #StopHateForProfit campaign on June 17, pressuring large companies to halt advertising with a platform they say doesn’t stop “bad actors using the platform to do harm” at least through the month of July.

Best Buy told Forbes Monday that it will boycott Facebook and Instagram in July, following similar announcements from companies like Ford, Adidas and subsidiary Reebok, Clorox, Patreon, Conagara Brands, Denny’s, Pepsi-owned SodaStream and Edgewell Personal Care earlier in the day which add to an unfriending list of over 150 big-name brands that spend hundreds of millions of dollars with Facebook every year.

CNN confirmed Monday that Microsoft quietly suspended its Facebook and Instagram advertising in May, weeks ahead of the #StopHateForProfit launch, and may be the biggest advertiser yet to quit Facebook this year (Microsoft spent more than $115 million on Facebook ads in 2019, according to advertising analytics company Pathmatics).

Over the past week, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Honda, Hershey’s and Unilever, which owns brands like Dove Soap and Lipton Tea, have also joined the boycott, though Coca-Cola and Starbucks—initiating Sunday an advertising pause on “all social media platforms” except YouTube—said they weren’t officially joining the #StopHateForProfit campaign.

Verizon said it would boycot the tech giant on Thursday after the ADL penned a letter to companies which mentioned finding an advertisement for Verizon “appearing next to a video from the conspiracy group QAnon drawing on hateful and antisemitic rhetoric”; compounding similar announcements last week from outspoken ice creamery Ben & Jerry’s, apparel companies Levi Strauss and Lululemon, film distributor Magnola Pictures, messaging app Viber, global nonprofit Habitat For Humanity, backpack producer JanSport, beauty subscription service Birchbox and more.

Procter & Gamble Co., which is considered an advertising trendsetter, said it is reviewing all the platforms it advertises on for objectionable content, according to The Wall Street Journal, and won’t work “on or near content that we determine is hateful, denigrating or discriminatory.”

As the list continues to grow, Facebook has tried to mitigate damage, reportedly giving an “upbeat” presentation to advertisers and agency executives on Tuesday and announcing Friday a new policy to begin labeling posts from politicians that violate its policies, but are newsworthy; despite this action, Facebook has seen its shares fall by more than 10 percent and has lost an estimated $80 billion in market value.

North Face was the first big brand to join the boycott, announcing last Friday that it would halt all U.S. paid advertising with Facebook and Instagram, closely followed by fellow outdoor apparel stores REI and Patagonia, and freelancing platform Upwork.

Dozens of smaller companies have similarly pledged their allegiance and multiple ad agencies have reportedly encouraged their clients to move away from Facebook, including Goodby Silvertein, the first agency to join the boycott, who has clients like BMW, HP, PayPal, Pepsi, Adobe and Doritos (these companies have not yet joined themselves); online therapy startup, Talkspace, withdrew from a six-figure content partnership deal with Facebook earlier this month and web browsing company Mozilla stopped advertising with Facebook in 2018 after the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

Calls for change began after Facebook refused to fact check a series of Trump’s tweets, including one from early on in the George Floyd protests that warned “looting” would lead to “shooting,” with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg making clear his stance that social media companies should not be “arbiters of truth.” The #StopHateForProfit campaign website accuses Facebook of facilitating the encouragement of violence, voter suppression and the spread of fake news. “Let’s send Facebook a powerful message: Your profits will never be worth promoting hate, bigotry, racism, antisemitism and violence,” the website reads.
